On January 28, 2016, the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act of 2015 bill was signed into law by President Obama. This new law affects manufacturers of packaging for e-liquids and requires that “any nicotine provided in a liquid nicotine container sold, offered for sale, manufactured for sale, distributed in commerce, or imported into the United States shall be packaged in accordance with the standards provided in section 1700.15 of title 16, Code of Federal Regulations, as determined through testing in accordance with the method described in section 1700.20 of title 16, Code of Federal Regulations, and any subsequent changes to such sections adopted by the Commission.”
The law will take effect on July 26, 2016. All manufacturers, importers and distributors of glass or plastic containers that are designed to hold liquid nicotine must be in compliance with this law on or before subject deadline.
To be in compliance, our packaging products for use with liquids and e-liquids must be tested and certified, as stated above, in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (C. FR.) Title 16, Part 1700.20, as being child resistant, and feature tamper evident glass droppers with a childproof plastic cap.
Please be advised that Cult Classic Liquids’s packaging products for use with liquids and e-liquids have been certified and are in compliance with the new law.
